Graphic Design and Technical Editing
Population Services International (PSI) hired WCM’s team to provide graphic design services and technical editing support or a suite of documents pertaining to wrapup reporting for the Expanded Social Marketing Project in Nigeria (ESMPIN), a five-year USAID-funded project. The mission of ESMPIN project is to improve the health of women and children in Nigeria by increasing the use of modern family planning methods and child health products.
Working in coordination with PSI’s communications staff, WCM began project activities with substantive technical copy-editing of the eight documents. Following first round edits, we proceeded with creating a style guide and designed layouts for the document suite inspired by materials previously produced by ESMPIN. The ESMPIN insignia, “My healthy family, my pride and joy,” was applied across all products. Over a six-week time period and working in coordination with PSI’s communications staff, WCM produced eight individual documents including four portrait brochures, two landscape brochures, a folder with accompanying policy brief cards, and 23 Nigerian national and state fact cards.
